Culminating Activity

Genius Hour | Gallery Walk

At the start of our unit, students will be introduced to their culminating activity in order to prepare for the presentation on the day prior to their departure to Washington, D.C. The culminating activity can either be presented on the Friday before the start of the Unit, or on Monday, the start of the unit.

Students will be asked to choose any topic pertaining to World War II to focus their projects on. The culminating activities will be formulated through a genius hour structure, giving students freedom to research and focus on a topic of their choosing. Research will be presented through a gallery walk for the entire school and community to be welcomed to attend. Presentations should take place in an area where all faculty, staff, parents, and students have the ability to view the final products presented by the students. Students will be given their advisory period (25 mins) to work on their presentations.
