Science

During this unit in science, students will learn how disease has effect everyone in the world for years to come. Medicine has evolved very rapidly since World War II begun and ended. A portion of the deaths during this time was due to the lack of knowledge we had about infectious diseases.

Students will learn all about the different types of diseases they could contract and what they could contract them from. They will also learn the cures or preventative measures that could be taken for these diseases. Students will learn the difference between epidemic and pandemic. Students will also begin to uncover what biotechnology is.
